PERFECT

The setting sun turned their pale faces to gold. He and she, a man and a woman were sitting near to each other enjoying seeing the firelight dancing on the walls and throwing strange shadows around the room. A look at them will make you think about the good – hearted couple, calm and peaceful life of spouses, but as a matter of fact it’s really unimportant now, it seemed timeless, ageless and rather confident.

She would never forget what he had told that day, in the least she believed in it. He had opened her eyes after a long dream of illusion and imagination; being in unconsciousness, almost frozen, with his help she melt and returned to life.

They talked a lot. But that conversation made her turn upside down, breathe the new stream of air, see the boundless sky and the sun superiority, which made her high and enlightened her mind.

She kept in mind every word he had told. No point, no moment was omitted, everything was with her, in her soul.

“Angela, do you know how it’s wonderful to realize that all things in the world, around us are beautiful? It’s the feeling you wouldn’t like to escape from; you’ll sink on its surface and never let it go. It fills your soul and you get insane about it.

Do you know my favorite memory? It was late October; it was cold then but not too much to get frozen. I was fooling around the East End and suddenly bumped into a child, actually it was a little girl, trying to get her hands warm by blowing on them. She was a pretty five – year fairy in a white light dress with the blue ribbons around the neck. Her curly dark hair were jumping in the streams of the wind, her small arms were so soft, tender and blissful, that it closed my confused mind. I could only stare in her charming, driving crazy eyes, which reminded me the two immense oceans.

She looked so pure, childlike, untouched by the dirt and mud of our spoiled society and by all means she was so innocent, like a gift, a sign of the beauty, which world presented to people.

I was staring at her with wild eyes. It seemed that my behavior made her merry and happy. She laughed… it was so powerful, trying to get under from the horrible burden of human sins, which amazed me very much. All attempts of this little prodigy to survive among us (rich beasts and all degrading thoughts about her) compelled me to turn back…

It was the boundless, clear blue, long… very long, hard to imagine how long sky above. And it was the sky that opened my soul and helped me to realize: everything in this world is just PERFECT…”
